Our Mission

In partnership with parents and our community, the Bartlesville Public School District exists to provide an exemplary educational experience that is comprehensive, challenging and inspirational to all students so that they will realize their greatest potential and become positive contributors to their community.

Long recognized as one of the top school districts in the state, BPSD has been named a Great Expectations Model District three years running. Last year, five of our schools were honored as Reward Schools.

BPSD offers exceptional arts programs, including orchestra, band, drama, visual arts, and choir. Over the past two years, our secondary choirs and orchestra have earned Superior Ratings, and our theater graduates have earned over $100,000 in scholarships. We are proud of our talented arts students.

Bartlesville schools provide a wide array of enriching athletic experiences with the goal of having every student athlete become a successful graduate and a productive citizen. Since 2010, BPS teams have earned an outstanding 12 Academic State Championships.

District voters overwhelmingly supported a record bond proposal in 2013 that is transforming the district’s secondary schools, including the expansion of Bartlesville High School to a 9-12 grade high school. In addition, the bond issue resulted in safety and security improvements throughout the district and provided funds for significant renovations at historic Central Middle School. Learn more »

Our entire family's foundation in education is right here in the Bartlesville elementary schools, middle schools and high school. I cannot imagine having my kids educated anywhere else.
